Turfy Party checklist

You can invite friends the week end before: but first, consider the weather forecast.

Use this checklist to get everything you need.

1

Choose a color, or a theme and sift out you house collecting everthing you have in that color or theme that can be useful for your turfy party. I found a lot of gingham stuff around, lasted from my little girl christening that turned out to be good stuff.

2

Prepare a certain number of lunch boxes in advance: one for every family you invited: instead of using simple paper launch boxes you can use wicker baskets, metal lidded boxes… Provide yourself some bags or boxes that can be used as picnic hampers. You don’t need sophisticated wicker picnic hampers. You can use paper lunchboxes, fabric bags, paperboard baskets etc… If you have time you can create or line some boxes by yourself…

3

Provide yourself some paper bags for sandwiches and some tissue paper to wrap cakes, cupkas and anything that can’t go on a bag. Some plastic cutlery and paper napkins in the same color you choose, or total white.

Grab some towels, napkins and tissue…

4

The day before the turfy party prepare a boiled egg for every guest, an average of tree sandwiches and your favourite sandwich fillers: ham, salad, tuna, tomatoes, majonnaise, ets… It’s a good idea to buy some gluten free bread, and provide a certain amount of gluten free sandwiches for alercic guests too.

5

Prepare fryed meat balls, rice balls and vegetable balls: they are an easy fingerfood that everybody appreciate and are really unexpencive.

Bring many drinks, bottles of water etc…

6

Buy some fruit. The same day of the party whash if and polish it with a microfiber cloth. Bananas, apples, oranges and any fruit that can be easily eaten without spotting or pouring is perfect.

7

If you like you can add some vegetable pie, or a slice of apple pie, or some picnic special. Vegetable tarts are better than sandwiches…

8

Prepare cookies or cupcakes: at least one for each guest: so the dessert won’t be missing.

9

Don’t forget to bring your own blanket, a good sunblock for kids and a good insects repellent. And if you intend to drink wine…don’t forget the bottle screw!

10

Enjoy!

  3. Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research on this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I’m very glad to see such fantastic information being shared freely out there.

  4. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was curious what all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100% certain. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Appreciate it
